Frequently asked questions

Do you accept health insurance?

While we do not accept insurance, we will provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company. You can also use your HSA and FSA accounts.

Is this process confidential?

We are 100% safe and confidential with your information, using bank-level encryption. We are fully HIPAA compliant. The information you share is protected by the same doctor-patient privilege you would expect in an office visit.

How much does it cost for a diagnosis appointment?

The complete diagnosis costs $150. However, you pay just a $20 deposit to book an appointment and the remaining $130 after the appointment. We offer a 100% refund if you are unsatisfied with the service.

What is the initial assessment based on?

The initial assessment is based on the standard symptoms, behavior and problems that people with ADHD suffer with. Should you not have any issues that we look out for, it is unlikely that you need to be diagnosed.

How long will it take to receive my diagnosis?

For most patients, the diagnosis is given to you by your mental health clinician at the end of your appointment. However, it may take more than one appointment if the diagnosis is inconclusive.

What are the next steps after my diagnosis?

Should you be diagnosed with ADHD, the practitioner that provided your diagnosis will design a treatment plan based on your life goals and symptoms.

How much is ongoing treatment?

This depends on your needs, but our standard medication management plan $130 per month and therapy costs $130 per week.

What conditions are appropriate for your platform?

We are able to offer services to individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD or executive function struggles.

How do I meet with my provider?

All visits will be conducted via a secure video conferencing platform called Zoom.

Do you offer services to patients who do not have a diagnosable mental health condition?

Yes! We are committed to being an inclusive platform. For individuals that do not meet a diagnosable mental health condition, we are able to offer therapy and success coaching.

What medications can you prescribe?

In the states of California and Florida, our medication management program has two options that are stimulant and non-stimulant medications.

Outside of California and Florida, we currently only offer a non-stimulant medication management program.

In both of these programs, we can prescribe medications to assist with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

How often will I meet with my provider?

After your initial appointment, you will receive a personalized plan where you will decide the frequency of appointments that is appropriate for your needs.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

We understand that things happen. If you need to cancel an appointment, please reach out to our support team: hello@adhdadvisor.org. In order to receive credit for a canceled appointment, we require 24 hour notice.

What if my pharmacy states that they have not received my prescription?

Please send an email to hello@adhdadvisor.org. We will respond within 24 hours (Monday through Friday)

Can I make an appointment with a different clinician?

Yes! We are committed to working with you to find the right clinician for you. Please email hello@adhdadvisor.orgwith your request.

What is success coaching?

Success coaching is unique to our platform and involves meeting on a weekly or bi-weekly basis with an intensively trained mental health coach. Our coaches are trained to help you break down barriers to achieving your goals. They also can provide psychoeducation regarding topics such as building habits, sleep hygiene and executive functioning.
