Ask us anything.
We’re here to answer.
We know this can be a tough space to navigate. Here are some of the common questions we get. If you need more help you can always reach out to us directly.
Insurance coverage? Here’s how it works. We don’t bill insurance directly, but you can still get reimbursed. Most ADHDAdvisor clients use the superbill we provide to request partial or full coverage from their insurance. It’s a quick form you submit - and we’ll walk you through it if needed. You can also pay with your HSA or FSA card, which often covers the full cost tax-free.
While we specialize in attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), our therapists have experience with all sorts of mental health conditions and needs. If you're seeking treatment for something other than ADHD, schedule an appointment, and we'll help you find what you need. We are able to offer services to individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD or executive function struggles.
The initial assessment focuses on the common symptoms, behaviors, and challenges typically associated with ADHD. If these indicators are not present, it's unlikely that a diagnosis would be necessary.
For most patients, a diagnosis is provided by the mental health clinician at the end of the initial appointment. However, if the clinician needs more time to gather information or if the results are inconclusive, additional sessions may be required to ensure an accurate diagnosis.
We understand that things happen. If you need to cancel an appointment, please reach out to our support team at support@adhdadvisor.org. In order to receive credit for a canceled appointment, we require 24 hour notice.
After your initial appointment, you will receive a personalized plan where you will decide the frequency of appointments that is appropriate for your needs.
