Ask us anything.
We’re here to answer.

We know this can be a tough space to navigate. Here are some of the common questions we get. If you need more help you can always reach out to us directly.

Do you provide services for minors?

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide services to individuals under the age of 18. Our platform is designed specifically for adults.

Which conditions are screened during the assessment?

Our clinicians specialize in evaluating for ADHD, but also have experience with a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and executive function challenges.

How much does ongoing treatment cost?

Ongoing treatment costs depend on your needs. Standard medication management and therapy subscription plans are $130 per month. If you and your clinician decide additional sessions would be beneficial, those can be purchased and scheduled separately.

What is the initial assessment based on?

The initial assessment is based on the standard symptoms, behaviors, and challenges associated with ADHD. If you are not presenting with signs of ADHD, your provider may determine that the assessment is not the right fit.

Who should I contact if I have questions about my medical records?

Please send an email to support@adhdadvisor.org.

What if my pharmacy states that they have not received my prescription?

Please send an email to support@adhdadvisor.org. A response will be provided within 24 hours (Monday through Friday).

What if I need to cancel my assessment?

If you need to cancel an assessment, please reach out to the support team at support@adhdadvisor.org. Please note that a minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to receive credit for a canceled assessment.

How often will I meet with my provider?

After your initial assessment, you will receive a personalized plan outlining a follow-up schedule tailored to your needs.

What medications can you prescribe?

In addition to therapy-based treatment plans, medication management for ADHD is available. This includes both non-stimulant options and stimulant medications, when clinically appropriate.

A comprehensive range of treatment options is thoughtfully designed to provide a holistic approach to managing ADHD effectively and empowering individuals to thrive.

How do I meet with my provider?

All visits will be conducted via a secure video conferencing platform.

Can stimulants be prescribed?

Yes, stimulant medications can be prescribed directly by your ADHD Advisor provider when clinically appropriate. Because stimulants are controlled substances, a thorough evaluation of your medical history, symptoms, and individual needs is required before any prescription is issued. Please note that stimulant prescribing is only available in select states. Your provider will let you know whether this option is available to you and, if so, work with you to incorporate it into your treatment plan.

What are the next steps after my assessment?

ADHD Advisor providers can prescribe both non-stimulant and stimulant medications as part of your treatment plan. Stimulant medications are available in select states and only when clinically appropriate. Your provider will work with you to determine the best option based on your symptoms, medical history, and individual needs.

How long will it take to receive my assessment?

For most patients, a diagnosis is provided by the clinician at the end of the initial visit. However, if more information is needed or the results are inconclusive, additional sessions may be required to ensure an accurate outcome. Please note that a diagnosis is not guaranteed, your provider will only diagnose ADHD if it is clinically appropriate.
